Security forces have prepared a list of 21 most-wanted terrorists in Kashmir, who will be on top of the target list.
The list included the name of chief of the Islamic State Jammu and Kashmir Dawood Ahmed Sofi alias Danish, who along with his three associates was killed by security forces in Anantnag’s Srigufwara area earlier on Friday.
The list has come to light following the Centre’s move of not extending the suspension of operations and the imposition of Governor’s rule in Jammu and Kashmir.
The list contains the names of 11 Hizbul Mujahideen terrorists, seven from the Lashkar-e-Taiba, two from the Jaish-e-Mohammed, one from the Ansar Ghazwat ul-Hind and Dawood. These terrorists have been listed under different categories- from A++ (being the highest) to A+, A and B. An A++ category terrorist is first on the hit list of security forces.
Altaf Ahmad Dar, also known as Altaf Kachroo, a resident of Hawoora, Kulgam is an A++ terrorist.
He had joined the outfit in 2006 and is the Hizbul Mujahideen divisional commander in south Kashmir. He had been arrested in the past for his association with militancy, according to reports. He was released and he later joined militancy.
