RSS Sahsarkaryvah Dr. Krishna Gopal Ji said the basic fundamental of the Indian culture is that it gives one a feeling of equality, which leads to a feeling of “ekatmata”. Addressing a function after inaugurating the Maghrani Vanvaasi Girls hostel set up by the Agra unit of the Akhil Bhartiya Vanvaasi Kalyan Ashram on 9 April, 2017, the Sahsarkaryvah said the Indian thought is to offer it the maximum to somebody who needs it. It would be an animal instinct if one would save just for oneself.

He said the feeling of “ekatmata”, if cultivated in the early days of life, would not let forces against nationalism to work. He said for hundreds of years there had been an effort to distort the basic premise of our culture. In the north east there have been attempts to create conflict with anti-national feelings. But the RSS workers held the reins in the region and weakened every divisive force. All such attempts were defeated in north-east by the Vanvaasis.

He said right from the days of Ramayana to the times of Maharana Pratap vanvaasis have been fighting enemies. The service work of vanvaasi welfare started with six children and it has today more than 2000 seva units.

Sant Atul Krishna Bhardwaj Ji, national vice-president of Vanvaasi welfare ashram Nilima Patte Ji, RSS Pracharak Pramukh Suresh Chandra Ji were among those present at the function.
