Subsequent to the judgement of the Hon’ble Supreme court of India allowing entry of young women between the age group of 10 to 50 to Sabarimala Swami AYYAPPA Temple, the vast majority of Devotees were on a path of agitation. If the judgement is implemented not only Sabarimala temple but all temples in Kerala will be badly affected. This is because the age old traditions and customs of these temples will be broken which will affect the sanctity of these temples. Therefore other than the Marxist Communists all Hindus who believe in temple and idol worship are agitating against the Government of Kerala who is trying to implement the Supreme Court judgement in a hurry so as to humiliate Hindus and destabilise the temple beliefs. To protect the rituals and practices of Sabarimala thereby protecting the interests of crores of Ayyappa devotees a committee comprising of majority of Hindu Organisations, caste organisations and Sangh parivar organisations were formed on 8th October 2018. The name of this new formation is Sabarimala Karma Samithi, meaning Sabarimala Action Council.
After its formation Sabarimala Karma Samithi was in the forefront of the agitation against the Kerala Government to protect the rituals and practices of Sabarimala temple. Sabarimala Karma Samithi has achieved massive support of majority of the people of Kerala and has been successful in protecting Sabarimala temple from breaking the traditions.
As part of the ongoing agitation a program by the name Ayyappa Jyothi was conducted today. This was a program in which about 21 lakhs of Devotees stood in a line with chirad (lamps) in their hands from the north end to the south most end of Kerala, about 800 Kilometres, which even extended upto Kanyakumari.
This program by the name Ayyappa Jyothi went off very well and that has provoked the Marxists which has prompted them to take violence into their hands. The Marxist goons attacked devotees including women and children in many parts of the Kannur district. 31 devotees including 10 women and 3 children are admitted to various hospitals and many are in critical condition. Many vehicles were attacked and crude bombs were hurled in a few places. The law and order situation in Kannur district is in shambles and people are under severe fear. The normal life of ordinary people are badly affected. Even in such a vulnerable situation the state police is remaining as a mute spectator and we don’t expect any positive action from the Marxist government’s police force.
Under the above circumstances Sabarimala Karma Samithi is left with no other option but to severely protest against the brutal attacks by the Marxists. Therefore Sabarimala Karma Samithi has declared tomorrow, 27 th December, 2018, as a protest day across Bharat. Protests in various forms according to the prevailing circumstances in each state of Bharat may be undertaken to voice their protests against the attack of Marxists on the innocent Hindu Devotees. Protests marches will be held across Kerala on 27 December, 2018.
