Telangana State Reorganises Into 31 Districts

The government of Telangana has reorganised its existing 10 districts into 31, on October 11, 2016, on the occasion of Vijayadashami, terming this move as administrative convenience.

Following this, Telangana state will have 31 new districts 25 new revenue divisions, 125 new mandals, 4 new police commissionerates  , 23 new police subdivisions, 28 new circles, 91 police stations.

New Districts are:

  1. Adilbad
  2. Machiryala
  3. Nirmal
  4. Asifabad
  5. Karimnagar
  6. Jagityal
  7. Peddapalli
  8. Siricilla
  9. Nizamabad
  10. Kamareddy
  11. Warangal (Urban)
  12. Warangal (Rural)
  13. Boopalpally
  14. Jangaon
  15. Mahaboobabad
  16. Khammam
  17. Bhadradri Kothagudem
  18. Medak
  19. Sangareddy
  20. Siddipeta
  21. Mahboobnagar
  22. Vanaparthy
  23. Nagarkarnool
  24. Jogulamba Gadwal
  25. Nalgonda
  26. Suryapeta
  27. Yadadri
  28. Vikarabad
  29. Medchal
  30. Rangareddy
  31. Hyderabad

Along with the reorganization of the districts, five new police Commissionerates will come up at Karimnagar, Ramagundam, Nizamabad, Siddipet and Khammam
