Guru Gobind Singh Ji is our torchbearer – Dr. Mohan Bhagwat Ji

Tenth Guru Guru Gobind Singh Ji has been among those who took the country forward. That is why everybody holds him as an ideal and aspires to be like him. It was for this reason that Swami Vivekananda said in order to regain the dignity of the country every citizen would have to follow the ideals of Guru Gobind Singh Ji. And for this one would have to make a beginning from oneself, said RSS Sarsanghchalak Dr. Mohan Bhagwat Ji at a function organised in Delhi to commemorate the 350th anniversary of the Guru Gobind Singh Ji.

The function was organised on 25 October 2020, by the Rashtriya Sikh Sangat.

Dr. Bhagwat Ji said to make it an ideal country everybody will have to make a beginning from himself, whatever religion, community or caste one came from. He said, Guru Gobind Singh Ji would always be an inspiration to us all for that. He was one person who sacrificed all that belonged to him, even his children, for the country. He never abused his adversaries.

He rendered a Yeoman’s service by raising a force cutting across the caste and creed lines, that was always prepared to lay down their lives. Sarsanghchalak Ji stressed the need to study intensely his character and imbibe the values enshrined in his personality. “We should not just stop this at this function here, but proceed persistently”, he added.

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh Ji said the Indian culture was one of the most ancient cultures in the world. The Panth set up by Guru Gobind Singh Ji was even today engaged in the protection of that culture. Guru Gobind Singh Ji would always be among the leading lights of the country.

President of the Rashtriya Sikh Sangat GS Gill Ji said Guru Gobind Singh Ji taught us never to bow down to adversaries and rather lay down the life to uphold the dignity of the country.
