RSS teaches brotherhood and to have unconditional love for motherland – Sri Ratan Sharda

The unique element of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh is brotherhood, and asking people to have unconditional love for motherland, thinking of what one can give to the nation, said Sri Ratan Sharda, in Hyderabad on Saturday.

Sri Ratan Sharda, author and well known TV panelist, was in the city for the launch of his book titled “3600 Demystifying Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh”, organized by Chetna, an NGO, at Centre for Cultural Resources & Training (CCRT), Madhapur.

Ratan ji said this book is an attempt to document some of the umpteen sacrifices of unknown Sangh swayamsevaks, the heroes who drive this entire national movement.

Speaking on the occasion, he said being Hindu is living with Dharmic values that we inherited from our land; it’s not about following a particular mode of worship.

Replying to a question on how to demystify Sangh among Muslims, Sri Ratan Sharda recalled an event in which Sangh Swayamsevaks were involved in rescue operations during a plane crash of Saudi Arabian Airlines in Charkhi Dadri , Haryana on 12 November 1996. Most of the passengers of were Muslims. He said RSS does not discriminate anyone, it promotes and encourages everyone to love and live for nation.

National work cannot happen in free time. One has to give a time on a consistent basis.

Chief guest of the event Shri BK Mishra, Global Delivery Head, Tech Mahindra, emphasised on the importance of values and consistency and RSS’ role in nation building.

Sri Ekka Chandrashekar Rao, RSS Khetra Seva Pramukh, addressed the audience and pointed how RSS has increasingly become the focal point of discussion. The conviction and commitment of swayamsevaks has increased the social work of RSS and people want to know more about it.
