Statement by Dr Manmohan Vaidya, RSS Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh:
RSS is of the firm opinion that all efforts should be made to strengthen the system for primary education in Mother Tongue in all parts of the country. RSS has supported and will continue to support the cause of agitation in Goa by Bharatiya Bhasha Suraksha Manch (BBSM) which is in consonance with the aforesaid opinion of RSS.
As part of the agitation, BBSM has made announcement formation of a political party. RSS, since its inception, has never been involved in politics, and hence, RSS would have no role in the political endeavour of BBSM.
Connected to the above, Goa Vibhag Sanghchalak Shri Subhash Velingkar has been relived of his post following his declaration of floating a political party. Any Swayamsevak doing political activity cannot hold any post simultaneously in RSS. Nevertheless he remains a Swayamsevak of RSS. “The news that he has been sacked for doing anti-BJP activities is incorrect and wrong.”
